On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee, we are delighted to invite you to Paris for the 9th International Meeting on Statistical Methods in Biopharmacy.

The SnB2021 Conference organized by the Statistics and Biopharmacy group of the SFdS (French Society of Statistics) will be held in Paris 20-22 September 2021. It is a unique event organized every four years integrating multiple perspectives on innovative applied statistical research for the drug development and an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from academia, regulatory agencies and pharmaceutical companies.

From its inception, the conference has been organized in Paris since 1989 in a 2-day format. For this new occurrence, an additional pre-conference course will be proposed the day before.

The Statistics & Biopharmacy conferences are inspired by recent developments and innovations in the field of health and clinical trials. The topic of the incoming conference will be dedicated to the new challenges in drug development associated to the need for accelerating development and the availability of big data within clinical trials and outside. Multiple topics will be concerned such as data architecture, adaptative design, high dimensional data analysis with statistical and machine learning approaches and causal inference. This will be a unique opportunity to provide a scientific forum for international exchanges on theory, methods and applications of statistical & machine learning in clinical research among statisticians from different sectors and members of other disciplines interested in this field.

The City of Paris is especially known for its museums and architectural landmarks (as for the Louvre which was the most visited art museum in the world in 2019), historical district along the Seine classified as a UNESCO Heritage Site, and many other monuments such as the popular Eiffel tower. The conference venue is the Adenauer auditorium, located in the Paris International University Campus.

We are convinced that the SnB2021 will be as attractive scientifically as the city of Paris is charming. Therefore, mark your calendar now!

Looking forward to meeting soon at the SnB2021,
